7 celebrities who still haven't endorsed a candidate for the 2024 presidential election

Taylor Swift almost broke the internet last night with her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris as her pick for president in the upcoming election — but she isn't the only one who waited to endorse a candidate.
For many, celebrity endorsements of a political candidate are extremely important and can sway the way you might vote.
While celebrities don't owe us their political opinions, and maybe they aren't the best people to listen to when it comes to politics, there are some surprising names who haven't endorsed a candidate yet.
These celebs have proudly endorsed candidates earlier in election seasons than this in the past, but have yet to this year. Now, there's still almost two months before the election, so there's plenty of time for them to speak out.
1. Lady Gaga
As Gaga has been doing press for the new Joker sequel, the Olympics, and her upcoming 7th solo album, she has yet to speak out endorsing Harris, despite singing the National Anthem at Biden's inauguration.
2. Miley Cyrus
Four years ago, Cyrus posted a video of Biden and Harris set to her song "Party in the USA" and said, "Now THIS is a PARTY IN THE USA!" She's yet to make a similar post about Harris this year.
3. Madonna
In 2016, Madonna was a vocal Hillary supporter, even throwing a surprise concert for her, but in 2024, she's yet to endorse a candidate.
4. Rihanna
Rihanna was another vocal supporter of the first woman to run for president in a major party. She was photographed wearing a shirt with Clinton's face on it, and then famously turned that photo into a shirt that she wore featuring her wearing a shirt with Clinton's face on it. She has yet to talk about Harris.
5. Kelly Clarkson
@kellyclarksonshow "Voting is your superpower" #hillaryclinton #kellyclarkson #womensrights #arizona
Earlier this year, Clarkson had Hillary Clinton (who she previously endorsed in 2016) on her show to talk about the musical Suffs, and the current state of America where many states have and are trying to pass abortion bans. "There is so much voter apathy going on, and that is why things like this are happening. And I understand, we were talking about in the commercial break how I've always been that kid in so many different circles, I have so many different random types of people in my life that have different ways of thinking about politics, faith, everything. And all of its fine, but what I'm hearing from everyone is that they're just exhausted and feel powerless and 'even if I do vote, what is going to matter?'" While Clarkson encouraged people to vote, she hasn't specifically endorsed a candidate.
6. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was once so popular people wanted him to run for president. He also firmly endorsed Biden when he ran four years ago, saying he had "compassion, heart, drive, and soul." But this year, Johnson said he will not share his political opinions. "Am I going to do that again this year? That answer's no," he said. "I realize now going into this election I will not do that."
7. Macklemore
The rapper had a viral hit with is pro-Palestine, anti-genocide, and anti-Biden song "Hind's Hall," where he said "The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all. And fuck no, I'm voting for you in the fall." Since Biden dropped out, Macklemore has yet to endorse Harris, and as she continues to say that the U.S. will fund "Israel's right to defend itself," he probably won't.
