Chrishell Stause isn’t afraid to get in a fight with anyone who comes for her partner G Flip.
The latest time Stause has had to stand up against homophobic attacks on her and her nonbinary partner came in the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion special.
The first time Chrishell butted heads with one of her co-stars in the reunion was when reunion host Tan France brought up an Instagram comment that Nicole Young had responded to.
“I was hoping the lesbian chick was off in Australia this season and not on our screens,” the commenter wrote. “Whatever her name is, I forgot. Nicole you look great!”
Young replied to the comment saying, “Thank you!!” with a heart emoji.
Stause’s co-star and friend Chelsea Lazkani explained to Young, “When somebody identifies Chrisell through her sexuality in a derogatory way and then you comment back to it, you’re basically cosigning that message.”
Still, Young wasn’t having it, insisting she didn’t know it was homophobic to call someone a “gay man” or “lesbian woman.” Then Stause brought out the big guns.
“First of all, say whatever you want about me, I’m a tough bitch,” she said. “But don’t go after my partner. Ever. Listen, I will own it. I’ve been a bitch to you. I hate you. I own it… If you’re gonna literally go to homophobic people and cheer them on because they hate me for that reason, that is hate, Nicole.”
Stausse also got a chance to bring up the conversation she had with Marie-Lou Nurk, who was dating Jason Oppenheim at the time. In the conversation, Nurk said that she didn’t like Stause because she was rude to her, and she misgendered Stause’s partner G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns.
“I was hoping when you did hang out with me and my partner, you would see I am completely head-over-heels in love. I couldn’t possibly be more in love with my partner, and it’s very hard not to see if you’ve spent five minutes with us,” Stause said to Nurk.
“I get tired of being people's topic and punching bag on camera. Clearly, it’s not a fun place to be. I feel like everyone that came at me this season — that’s why I got frustrated,” she added.
During the special Stause also revealed that G Flip is better in bed than Oppenheim was and the show was announced to be returning for an 8th season.
The Selling Sunset season 7 reunion special is streaming on Netflix.
