Doja Cat pulled off the ultimate stunt at the Met Gala!

If there’s one thing Doja Cat knows how to do, it’s pull an incredible stunt! And that’s exactly what the superstar musician did at the Met Gala on Monday night. First, she completely hid her look from photographers, leading to a dramatic reveal paying tribute to a special someone in Karl Lagerfeld’s (who is the theme this year) life.
Doja is far from the first to pull a multi-leveled stunt like this. Previously, artists like Lady Gaga in 2019 and Lil Nas X in 2021 have revealed different looks at different parts of the carpet.Doja first teased the look on Instagram
Doja had previously teased the look, showing a dress form with a label with her name on it and a tease of some white lace or linen.
She kept herself hidden before stepping on the carpet
The first time we “saw” Doja, she was completely surrounded by a cadre of umbrellas, completely covering her up so that no one could get a sneak peek at what she’s wearing. But the photogs there weren’t having it, booing the star for not revealing her look.

When we finally got a look at her it was truly the stunt of the night! In a long, white gown with a flowing train and a body of rhinestones, complete with a hood with cat ears and cat-like facial prosthetics!

Doja’s cat look was in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic pet cat, Choupette, who also had a luxurious white coat and was often Lagerfeld’s plus one to fashion events.
