She's a G.O.D.D.E.S.S., indeed.
Parody X user Gary Peterson describes himself as a "patriot, bible reader, and mall Santa" who is a Donald Trump superfan. On Tuesday, April 30, Peterson shared what looks like a picture of himself standing right next to Trump himself after presenting the former president with a painting of Melania Trump.
"It was an honor to give President Trump my latest artwork of our beautiful first lady Melania, and I hope it brings him as much joy on his bedroom walls as it did ours!" Peterson wrote in an X post.
But here's the thing: the woman seen in this particular painting doesn't look like Melania… oh, at all. But the woman does look A LOT like RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 winner Sasha Colby.
Right after Peterson shared what seemed to be picture of Trump holding this "Melania painting," the internet pointed out how the woman in the artwork looks… well, like Sasha Colby!
However, as seen below, the painting and the picture shared by Peterson are both parodies and have been digitally modified. The real painting of Melania Trump — and real person who painted it — can be seen in a post from X user @ManicaAlan (shown below).
Peterson's parody not only modified Melania's face in the painting, but also added his own alleged likeness over the face of the man who actually worked on the real Melania painting that Trump actually received as a gift. It's also noteworthy that Peterson's X post has Trump with a frowning face, whereas he is smiling in the original picture.
Nonetheless, it didn't take long for the Drag Race superstar herself to react to how this parody painting. Just a few hours later, Colby shared Peterson's original X post and reacted with a face-with-peeking-eye emoji.
It's all just really hilarious and we're living for it!
While it's been officially proven that Peterson's painting and picture are not real, Drag Race fans still had a field day with the parody post and turned it into a meme.
We feel like mother, goddess, and OUR president Sasha Colby would look stunning in the White House! Not with Trump — nor with this parody painting — of course, but the point remains that in Sasha Colby we trust.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 premieres Friday, May 17 on Paramount+.
