You better start writing the fanfics, babes!
Omar Apollo, who recently released the Live for Me EP featuring a painting of himself naked, met former Élite actor Arón Piper over the weekend. If you need a refresher, Piper played Ander Muñoz on the show – a fan-favorite queer character who had a relationship with Omar Ayuso (not Apollo!) in the Netflix series.
Piper has never addressed how he identifies in the sexuality spectrum, and his sexual orientation has never been subjected to too much speculation, either. Nonetheless, Élite fans will never forget his solid performance in the role of Ander.
Apollo shared a selfie he took with Piper in an X post, writing: “Type sh*t.”
The reactions to the picture were, well, you can probably guess! Responses ranged from “choo choo on me” to “We can tell y’all just finished eating each other out” to “invite me next time papis.”
It should be noted — again — that Apollo is an out gay singer, whereas Piper has not addressed his sexuality in a public manner despite playing a gay character on Élite. Since exiting the hit Netflix series, Piper has starred in projects such as Code Name Emperor, Sayen, Fatum, Muted, and El Correo, to name a few.
We know there’s nothing solid here for us to be shipping these two… yet here we are!
The eighth and final season of Élite is scheduled to premiere sometime later in 2014. Omar Apollo’s Live for Me EP is available on all music streaming platforms.
