Hunter Schafer knows a thing or two about turning heads with her style.
This summer, the pairing of Emma D'Arcy's ES Magazine cover shoot with Schafer sparked an immediate viral sensation as they both rocked edgy leather outfits. This prompted fans to write X posts asking, "When will we get a Hunter Schafer and Emma D'Arcy vampire rom-com?"
Schafer lit up at the idea when it was brought up in an interview with The Standard:
"That would be so cool. Oh my gosh, yes. I've never met Emma in person, but I've seen all the internet buzz. People have been mixing us up since House of the Dragon started. We kind of have similar faces, so a vampire story would be awesome. We could totally play siblings!"
Beyond their potential on-screen roles, actors like Schafer, Bella Ramsey, Indya Moore, Emma Corrin, and Emma D'Arcy are leading the charge in terms of wider LGBTQ+ representation in Hollywood.
When asked about paving the way for trans and gender non-conforming talent, Schafer acknowledged its importance. "The universe has given me these opportunities, and I want to make the most of them," she said. "It's why I keep going on this career path. It's not just about me; it's about seeing more people like us getting their space in the spotlight. That means everything to me."
Schafer, who stole our hearts on HBO's Euphoria, is currently promoting her new movie, Cuckoo. But even as she cherishes this moment as the lead female actress in a film, Schafer is already confessing her aspirations to direct a movie one day, too. "That's something that I want to work towards; it's a position you have to earn. I want to become somebody someday who is capable of doing something that powerful."
We can't wait to see more of Hunter Schafer on our screens — and behind the camera, too, if she gets a chance to embark on that journey! In the meantime, we'll be over here fantasizing about the possibility of Schafer and D'Arcy working together on a project.
If we add Kristen Stewart, this could totally become a bigger, better, and much queerer vampire saga than Twilight. One way or another, you already know we will be SEATED.
