These major casting updates for Euphoria season 3 have been announced through the official social media accounts for the series, HBO, and Max — with The Hollywood Reporter being the first to report.
The excitement for Rosalía to join Euphoria doesn't just come from fans of the Grammy Award-winning singer, but also from fans of the show who long speculated over the now-confirmed romantic relationship between Hunter Schafer and Rosalía in the past.
Rosalía shared a statement about joining the third season of Euphoria, which reads:
"If there's anything that excites me as much as finding a good melody or a good lyric, it's becoming a better performer every day. Euphoria has been my favorite series of the last few years, and I couldn't be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all these colleagues that I admire so much, and contributing my 'granito de arena' to bring Sam's vision to reality. I can't wait to share what we're doing!!! Besitos, Rosi."
While reports originally suggested that Dominic Fike would not return to Euphoria, it's now been confirmed by Variety that the actor will appear in the upcoming season. As of this writing, however, cast members like Nika King and Algee Smith have not been announced to return.
Other actors joining this final cycle of HBO's Euphoria include Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms) and NAACP Image Award recipient Kadeem Harrison (A Different World). The list of newbies goes on to include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost), Toby Wallace (Pistol), Priscilla Delgado (Desaparecidos), James Landry Hébert (Ghost House), Darrell Britt-Gibson (The Wire), Anna Van Patten (FBI: Most Wanted).
The first two seasons of HBO's Euphoria are streaming on Max.
