Who’s down for some spelunking?
Gus Kenworthy has been spending his holiday break in Brazil. After spending New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro, the Olympic skier is now spending some time in São Paulo.
Over the weekend, Kenworthy finally caved in and shared a picture that many of his fans had been eagerly anticipating: a “hole pic!”
“Swipe for hole pic,” he wrote in the caption.
In the wise words of Gia Gunn, “What you wanna do isn’t necessarily what you’re gonna do.”
Upon swiping through this Instagram gallery, it is then revealed that the “hole pic” shared by Kenworthy isn’t exactly the hole picture that his fans were probably waiting to see... it’s the opening (potentially the entrance?) of a cave instead. Technically accurate terminology, but totally inaccurate expectations!

Kenworthy’s acting career has been soaring in recent years. In 2023 alone, he starred in 80 for Brady and The Sacrifice Game. In the latter, Kenworthy plays one of the main characters, Jimmy, alongside actors Mena Massoud (Jude) and Olivia Scott Welch (Maisie).
We’re happy to see how much fun Kenworthy has been having in Brazil… even if he’s misleading us with “hole pics!”
