Another LGBTQ+ couple bites the dust in 2023.
Ollie King and Dan Harry Glendinning were later additions to the cast of I Kissed a Boy but quickly became favorites among fans. On the show, it was clear that they had some chemistry together and would probably continue to date after the show, which resulted in them winning this first season.
Recently, King took to Instagram stories to confirm that he and Glendinning have broken up as a couple. The I Kissed a Boy winner wrote:
“Folks, it feels weird to be making a ‘public’ announcement about something so personal. But since many of you have been on the journey and supported us since day one, I want to let you know that Dan and I aren’t together anymore. We are still mates and there’s no bad blood, we’ll still be hanging out, etc.”
King added, “We both want to move forward and will massively appreciate you respecting that this is a vulnerable thing for us to share. Thank you for supporting us so much through this crazy last year.”
As of this writing, Glendinning has yet to react or add his two cents to the breakup news shared by King. Alas, he’s been making headlines of his own lately after joining a novel HIV vaccine trial conducted in Europe.
Glendinning told PinkNews:
“I am doing something super important: taking part in a HIV vaccine trial which will hopefully play a part in getting rid of HIV in the world. My blood will be taken, and then we test on it. Then I will be given three doses of this vaccine, which is basically a genetically modified [virus] that’s made to look and feel like HIV. I’ll be given three doses of that over the course of the next 12 months.”
He concluded, “I’ll be keeping a diary as to how that makes me feel and what happens.”
Breakups can sometimes do more good than harm, so we’re sending nothing but love to both Ollie King and Dan Harry Glendinning!
