What a perfect way to end the summer!
Congratulations are in order to Joel Kim Booster and his partner John-Michael Sudsina who just announced their engagement during this Labor Day Weekend! Booster has confirmed to Out that they're officially engaged, and we LOVE to see it.
Booster — a comedian and actor known for writing and starring in the queer rom-com Fire Island and playing Nicholas in the Apple TV+ comedy Loot alongside Maya Rudolph and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez — shared on social media that he proposed to Sudsina during their latest vacation. And, well, Sudsina said yes!!!
"Vacation boyfriend -> Vacation husband," Booster wrote in an X post. "Try to be normal about this."
We're having a bit of a hard time "being normal about this," JKB… but we'll do our best!
Booster's X post included two photos of the couple. The first photo shows them on a boat, with Booster down on one knee proposing to Sudsina, who is standing up has his back to the camera. The other picture shows the now-engaged couple smiling into the camera while standing in front of two Korean statues from Jeju Island.
Even more adorable pictures were shared in an Instagram carousel dubbed by Booster as a "big time Korea dump." The actor wrote in the caption:
"Keep scrolling for a special surprise [sparkles emoji]. Very much in love. Very happy. No matter where I am, he's my home."
We're being totally normal about this incredibly sweet and romantic moment for Booster and Sudsina! No one is giddy or teary-eyed or anything! Just super chill!
Sudsina, who works a game producer at Riot Games, has been dating Booster for several years now. In January 2024, the couple even went viral for sharing a kiss on the red carpet for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
We couldn't be happier for this couple. All we can say is: congratulations!
