We totally understand you, Taron Egerton!

In 2019, Egerton portrayed Sir Elton John in the biopic Rocketman. That same film featured a young Kit Connor playing the teenage version of the singer.

On Thursday, March 30, Egerton expressed his genuine surprise with the new physique presented by his fellow Rocketman costar. The Tetris actor wrote in an Instagram story:

“Are you f*cking kidding me [Kit Connor]? Next time we work together I’ll be playing the little version of you.”

Connor has come a long way since his quick cameo in Rocketman. He is now a leading star on Netflix’s Heartstopper, has come out as bisexual, and recently showed off his new, Marvel superhero-like physique on social media.

In the meantime, Egerton’s career has also been in an unstoppable rise that includes starring in the TV show Black Bird and the brand-new film Tetris. He also voiced Johnny in Sing 2, and was slated to play the character of M in the West End theatre production of Cock.

As far as we’re concerned, we can’t wait for Egerton and Connor to be costars again in an upcoming project – maybe, next time, they won’t be playing the exact same person!

Tetris is now streaming on Apple TV+.
