Welcome Lady Gaga to the White House!

President Joe Biden announced on Thursday, April 13 that he has appointed legendary pop star and Oscar-winning actor Lady Gaga to co-chair his Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

Gaga will serve as co-chair of the committee along with American Beauty and Milk producer Bruce Cohen. Other members of the committee include Kerry Washington, Jon Batiste, George Clooney, Jennifer Garner, Shonda Rhimes, Troy Kotsur, Marta Kauffman.

“Welcome newly appointed members of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, led by @BruceCohen83 and @ladygaga,” The President’s Committee tweeted out. “We look forward to partnering to positively impact the arts, libraries, museums, and humanities work across the country.”

According to the White House’s press release, the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities was founded in 1982 to advise the President on cultural policy.

“PCAH advises the President and the heads of U.S. cultural agencies on policy, philanthropic and private sector engagement, and other efforts to enhance federal support for the arts, humanities, and museum and library services,” the release says. “The PCAH will also engage the nation’s artists, humanities scholars, and cultural heritage practitioners to promote excellence in the arts, humanities, and museum and library services and demonstrate their relevance to the country’s health, economy, equity, and civic life.”

Gaga tweeted out her thanks to President Biden.

With Gaga having one foot already in the White House, is President Gaga becoming more likely in our future?
