Lil Nas X Celebrates 24th Bday With 'Playboy'-Inspired Photoshoot

Born in 1999, Lil Nas X turned 24 years old on April 9. To celebrate it, the rapper threw a party with various celebrity guests and also worked on a very special photoshoot inspired by Playboy.

For the photoshoot, Nas X renamed the publication to Battyboy, a reference to the Jamaican slang often used as a slur against gay and/or effeminate men. And yet, it seems like Nas X is reclaiming the expression and now using it in an empowering way that inspires self-acceptance.

Though he renamed the Playboy brand, Nas X still referenced the original publication by wearing the iconic “bunny ears” on the cover and then portraying a man looking at the spread picture in the magazine.

Nas X has already accomplished a lot in his 24 years of age, and we can’t wait to keep watching him dominate pop culture.
