Sherri Shepherd has 'hot flashes' over Luke Macfarlane's shirtless Out cover

The actor, TV host, and latest Out cover star had Sherri Shepherd feeling "hot flashes."

Sherri Shepherd got more than a little flirty with guest and Out cover star Luke Macfarlane on her daytime talk show, Sherri, this morning.

Shepherd had Macfarlane, who is the latest Out cover star, on her show, Sherri, to talk about the cover, his new home improvement show, and to learn all the tricks to drilling a box.

"I'm excited because my next guest is a Hallmark movie star who's now showing off his woodworking skills in the new Hallmark Plus show Home Is Where the Heart Is," Shepherd said. "He's also on the cover of this spring's Out Magazine. And if you think the cover is hot, check out the photo inside the magazine!"

"I don't know if it's my hot flashes or I'm just hot!" Shepherd continued, reaching her hand out towards his chest. "Luke… and I'm gonna ask your permission first… is this real?" she said, touching his pecs and laughing. "It's real," she confirmed. Shepherd then segued into asking about his new home improvement show for Hallmark.

"I've made 15 Hallmark movies, and this is the first time that I've executive produced for Hallmark," Macfarlane revealed. "I'm passionate about woodwork and I'm passionate about home renovations, so this show is about those two passions."

Macfarlane then guided Shepherd through a woodworking craft, first quizzing her on her wood identification skills.

"Ok, I'm great at wood identification, yes I am," Shepherd joked, "this is a hardwood, right?"

When Macfarlane said that yes, both woods were hardwoods, and let her choose between walnut and white oak, Shepherd continued to flirt. "Ok, white oak. You know what? You're here today, give me the white oak," she quipped.

The jokes didn't stop there, as Macfarlane then showed Shepherd the "tongues" and the "slots" of the different pieces of wood and said, "so we're gonna put the tongues into the slots," drawing riotous laughter from the audience.

"What do you want me to do?" Shepherd asked her audience.

"Come on, let's go. We're gonna run out of time," Macfarlane laughed.

The two got a little more serious, noting how Macfarlane "completely built [his] daughter's nursery."

"Well, there's no way to say 'I care about you' more than making something special for somebody," Macfarlane said.

The first two episodes of Home Is Where the Heart Is premiere Thursday, March 20 on Hallmark Plus.
