If we had a time-traveling machine, we now know the exact time and location of where we’d want to teleport to.
Fellow Travelers’ Closeted Daddy, Matt Bomer, and Foundation’s Intergalactic Emperor Daddy, Lee Pace, were apparently roommates in the 2000s while they were both still aspiring actors in New York City. If you need a second to process that bombshell, we get it, and we’re here to walk you through it.
During an interview with GQ Hype, Bomer gave his Fellow Travelers costar Jonathan Bailey a tour of the West Village in New York City. During said tour, Bomer recalled his life as an up-and-coming actor in the early 2000s, which included living in a small one-bedroom apartment with another aspiring actor: 6’5” legend Lee Pace.
“I’ll tell you how long I've known Lee Pace,” Bomer told the publication. “I’ve known him since he was shorter than me, when he was 14 and I was 15.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Bomer casually talked about the various opportunities that he missed out on for being an out gay actor. He explained:
“I choose just to never look back in anger about anything. Ultimately, my career is a lot richer because I decided to be open with who I am.”
Bailey praised the doors that Bomer has opened for other out gay actors over the years, noting that he’s experienced “a wave of progress that Matt’s been surfing and is at the front of. And it’s been a real honor to be able to get on my boogie board next to him.”
Between the steamy scenes of Bomer and Bailey on Fellow Travelers and this new information that Bomer was once roommates with Pace, we’re just waiting for the wave of fan-fiction stories that are being written as we speak.
Ugh, don’t you just love the gays?
