Max Emerson & Andrés Camilo are about to become daddies—officially!
Max Emerson also shared exclusive details with Out about the couple's journey to parenthood.
Fathers are fathering!
Max Emerson and Andrés Camilo — two content creators and social media influencers who, together, are one of the most popular gay couples on the internet — have officially started their journey toward becoming parents.
On Monday, June 10, Emerson and Camilo shared a joint Instagram video to make this exciting announcement.
"Hey, kids, your dad and I have an announcement," Camilo says in the video. Emerson adds, "After eight years together, your father and I have decided that it's time to start our family."
Camilo clarifies, "He means we've decided it's time to grow our family." Emerson says, "Yeah, we're adopting a human baby."
"We understand this might be very confusing for you," Camilo goes on, "and it's important that you know we still love you very, very much, very much."
Emerson notes, "That's actually a big part of how we made this decision. You're already so grown up, and handsome, and responsible. Hell, you might even be considering a decision like this of your own very soon.
"Max, stop," Camilo replies. "They're clearly going through a lot right now."
While the video has a funny tone — with both Emerson and Camilo speaking to their followers as if they are their actual children — the actual announcement is not a joke. Emerson and Camilo are really adopting a baby and are excited to become parents.
"We began the process back in November," Emerson tells Out. "We've had such a steep learning curve that it's taken us a long time to figure out what and how we want to talk about [it] online."
He adds, "[But] we're excited to share what we've been learning!"
Emerson and Camilo celebrated 8 years of being together with an Instagram carousel shared on January 14, 2024. "Eight years ago today we had anonymous seggs [sex] for the first time. And the last time. #HappyAnniversary," the couple wrote in the caption.
Emerson, who recently released a new book titled The Sparkle Club, also made headlines last year with an adorable video of his surprise proposal to Camilo. Now, it seems like the couple is ready to take things to the next level… becoming actual daddies!
