The Brazilian-American actor is raising money for victims displaced by recent floods in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

9-1-1: Lone Star hottie Rafael L. Silva is putting his celebrity to good use.

Silva, who plays gay police officer Carlos Reyes in the hit show9-1-1: Lone Star, was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and moved to New Jersey when he was 13. Now, he's using his stardom to help the people of his birth country.

"Last week, over 350 towns/municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, were disastrously affected by unprecedented floods due to heavy rains in the region," Silva wrote on Instagram. "Many rivers and bodies of water in the region, inundated and submerged many towns under brown, muddy water. The number is far from certain, but many people lost their lives, homes, access to food, clean water, hygienic products, and many other basic needs."

According to the Associated Press, at least 100 people have died, over 100 more are missing, and more than 230,000 people have been displaced due to the flooding.

Silva has announced that he will now be filming Cameos and donating the proceeds to recovery efforts in Brazil.

"Hi everyone, due to the recent events that happened in the south of Brazil in Rio Grande Do Sul, with the floods and everything, I have decided to partner with Cameo to raise money for all the people who have lost their homes, their livelihoods, any means to work, any means to make money and find shelter and have food," he said in a video. "I would love to make videos for you guys for 'Happy Birthday,' 'Happy Mother's Day.' It's a lovely gift."

Silva announced that his Cameo account will stay open for just two weeks (ending on May 23) and that 100% of proceeds will go toward those affected by the floods. He will make the final donation number public when the videos are finalized.

He also encouraged people to go directly to the Brazil Foundation's website to learn more and donate directly.
