Here comes the sun!

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef released a joint statement earlier this month (July 6) announcing their divorce. The couple had been married for six years and have two children together: Lucia and Renn.

A few days later, on Tuesday, July 11, Martin posted a video on Instagram showing that he’s in full “Livin’ La Vida Loca” mode as a newly-single man. The video shows a shirtless Martin enjoying the sun on a yacht along with his two older kids (from prior to his marriage to Yosef), twin boys Matteo and Valentino.

“Bonding time with the twins before the show tonight,” Martin wrote in the caption.

For context, Martin is currently traveling the world with the Sinfónico Tour, which includes legs in the US, Europe, and Latin America. This particular yacht outing seen on Instagram took place prior to his concert in Monte-Carlo, Monaco scheduled for Tuesday, July 11. The tour will then move on to cities in Spain and Mexico.

Martin and Yosef’s split has followed a slew of other LGBTQ+ celebrity divorce news. In the last few days, Billy Porter and Adam Smith also announced their split, as did TikTok stars Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa.

Divorce can be tough on all involved parties, which include children, relatives, and friends. But if splitting up is the right course of action for these couples, then we wish them the very best as they go their separate ways.
