Both established actors, the two lovers initially crossed paths through the realm of Instagram. Their love story began in February 2012 when Newyear initiated contact with Both by leaving a comment on one of his Instagram posts.

The couple's chemistry extended beyond their personal lives, as they portrayed a gay couple in the popular Thai drama Top Secret Together. Additionally, they ventured into the world of content creation, jointly running a YouTube channel.

Thailand, as reported by Reuters, ranks as one of Asia's most LGBTQ-friendly nations. While legal support for same-sex marriages is still pending, many couples choose to wed without legal protection. Notably, in 2022, lawmakers took a significant step by introducing four bills related to same-sex unions following an initial reading, signaling a progressive shift in Thailand's stance on LGBTQ+ rights.
