When Tom Daley asks us to do something, we listen!
Daley, who recently won his fifth Olympic medal (a silver) and announced his retirement from competitive diving is thankfully staying in the spotlight with a new responsible drinking campaign with Malibu Rum.
Malibu has teamed up with Daley and the Royal Life Saving Society UK for a new safety campaign that points out that 1 in 4 drowning accidents are alcohol-related and can be avoided.
According to a press release, new research shows that 62 percent of Brits have swam or gone in the water after drinking alcohol, and 78 percent of Gen Z drinkers say it's okay to have one or more drinks before getting in the water.

The campaign comes with an all-new, limited-edition capsule collection of knitted clothes and accessories, including a bucket hat, briefs, slides, and sunglasses. All proceeds from the collection go to RLSS UK. Malibu has also made a donation to the charity.

"I've always loved being in the water, but maybe more than most, I also understand its power and the need to respect it to stay safe," Daley said. "I'm proud to be working with Malibu and the Royal Life Saving Society UK to get this message out there. Stay safe and 'Don't Drink and Dive!'"
