Tommy Dorfman has officially filed for divorce from her wife of nearly two years, Elise Williams.
People reports that Dorfman, 33, filed for divorce in New York City on Friday, May 16, according to online records.
Dorfman, who starred in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, and Williams met on Hinge in 2021, shortly after Dorfman left her first marriage.
Two months later, they were engaged.
"We got engaged two months into dating. To our credit, we waited a full 12 months before moving in together, so you can’t say we U-Hauled (though one might argue taking in a Great Dane puppy at our six-month mark was a smidge irresponsible)," Dorfman wrote in Vogue in 2024.
Dorfman and Williams announced their marriage through Vogue Weddings in May 2024. Dorfman said the couple had eloped in 2023.
"Congratulations are in order for @Tommy.Dorfman and her partner, Elise—the couple are officially married! After a spontaneous wedding in Los Angeles last year, Dorfman and her new wife decided to mark their marriage in a more meaningful way when back home in Brooklyn," Vogue Weddings' post about the marriage said.
In December 2024, Dorfman made a post on Instagram hinting that she and Williams were no longer together.
Dorfman posted a carousel of "random memories of 2024," that showed a picture of Dorfman in a bathtub with the caption "heartbreak feels good in a place like this," referencing the Nicole Kidman AMC ads.
In another caption in the same post, she says she had a "nervous breakdown in paris." In another, she thanks a friend "who kept me breathing and emotionally sober after one of the hardest weeks of my life."
One of the images shows her dog, Fiona, lying on a couch. The caption indicates that Dorfman was no longer living with Williams. "Fiona loves her new home and, while it's just the two of us now, i think she's managing better than i," she wrote.
Dorfman's marriage to Williams was her second marriage. She was previously married to Peter Zurkuhlen from 2016 to 2021. She came out as a woman after they separated.
