Patrick McDonald first broke out in reality TV as a cast member on the Logo TV series Fire Island, which featured six gay men sharing a house for a summer gaycation. At the time, McDonald was introduced as a bartender who was constantly accompanied by his precious little dog, Bodhi.

As of 2023, McDonald is a 37-year-old hunk who works as a reality TV producer for shows such as Vanderpump Rules, Real Housewives of Potomac, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Winter House, Porsha’s Family Matters, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
