Gay fans of X-Men '97 certainly remember Gambit's name!
The new animated series X-Men '97 has been an explosive hit for Disney+, with the retro-set continuation of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon from the '90s being celebrated by fans and critics alike.
While many of the original voice actors from the '90s show returned for the new version, created by Beau DeMayo, some new actors were brought in including A.J. LoCascio as the sexy and swagger-filled southern mutant Remy LeBeau, a.k.a. Gambit.
Obviously, Gambit has long been one of the hottest superheroes in all of comics, and now, fans of the show are finding out that his new voice actor is just as hot!
One of the first indications that LoCascio had the exact same level of hotness as Gambit was when LoCascio wore a pink tank top that was worn by Gambit in the show to his appearance at WonderCon.
Fans immediately took notice, with one posting side-by-side comparison pics of the animated hottie and his voice actor on X (formerly Twitter). The post got over 1.2 million views at the time of this writing.
Other fans are simply posting pictures of LoCascio, expressing their undying love for him.
LoCascio hasn't cooled down. He recently shared a post-workout mirror selfie where he's shirtless, has some scruff, and is giving the camera a slight smile.
Of course, the internet is melting.
"Oh, he knows the thirsty gays are watching," one fan wrote on Twitter.
Another fan shared LoCascio's recent mirror selfie with the caption "my live action Gambit, idc what y'all say," and we, and LoCascio are loving the idea!
It's a beautiful thing when a real-life actor has all the swagger and sexiness of a character they play, and we are so thankful that LoCascio was cast as Gambit.
