A Toronto restaurant has publicly called out actor Zachary Quinto and banned him from returning to their space.
Manita, a Toronto café, bar, and grocery store that describes itself as a "Mediterranean-ish bistro," publicly called out Star Trek and American Horror Story star Zachary Quinto for his alleged rude behavior and banned him from returning to the restaurant.
Manita shared a post on Instagram recently talking about Quinto's reported behavior when he visited the restaurant.
"Zachary Quinto – an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer," the restaurant wrote in the post.
"Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn't reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren't available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for," the post reads.
"Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable," the post continues. "Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita but you are NOT one of them."
After initially sharing the post in its stories, Manita posted it on Instagram and gave more details in the caption.
"This isn't the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff," the restaurant wrote. "Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests… who may give us constructive feedback from time to time."
"To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere: We aren't above criticism, but we are above being demeaned," the post said.
Quinto was in Toronto celebrating his birthday. He has not commented on Manita's claims.
