In celebration of McDonald's newest sweet treat, the Grandma McFlurry, Out proudly presents Crafting Connections, a heartwarming series honoring the grandmothers and grandmother figures in our lives. Join Actress and Activist Jillian Mercado, Chef and Television Personality Ronnie Woo, and Photographer and Author Maxwell Poth as they come together to share cherished memories of their grandmothers while crafting and enjoying McDonald's favorites.
In the first episode, Jillian, Ronnie, and Maxwell hang out and engage in a classic crafting project: creating a canvas dedicated with love to their grandmas. As these friends catch up over some McDonald’s, they share the unforgettable moments spent with their grandmothers.
Jillian Mercado, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a child, fondly recalls how her grandmother would take her to McDonald's after doctor's appointments. "There was a McDonald's three blocks away from the hospital, and she would take us there every single visit," Jillian shares. "We'd get a Happy Meal and our toys, and she'd have her McGriddles and black coffee, watching us play. She understood how important it was to be a kid."
So, in honor of grandma and the memories with her, head to McDonald’s today to try the limited-edition Grandma McFlurry, available at participating locations, which features smooth, sweet creamy syrup and chopped crunchy, candy pieces, reminiscent of grandma's favorite treat hidden in her purse, blended in McDonald's creamy vanilla soft serve.
