RuPaul's Drag Race has many arms. In addition to the well watched original series, and the spinoff RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (and the other World of Wonder spinoffs as well,) there's DragCon; the IRL event. Well, the IRL event where fans can meet the queens, hear them speak on panels and buy their merchandise -- a circuit of tours is also a chance to see the queens in real life. But now, with the launch of Drag Race U.K., the convention is expanding overseas.
In January, DragCon will put on the first U.K. iteration of the well-attended event. And while the convention will, of course, include the cast of the show's debut season, they are also bringing out some special guests.
In addition to the Drag Race U.K. girls, there's some local notables that are making appearances. Joseph Harwood, Harnaam Kaur, Poppycock and the group Drag Syndrome are all a part of the event. They will likely be a part of panels and workshops.
Quite a few U.S. Drag Race alums are also making the trip. So far, Bianca Del Rio, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Shea Coulee, and Monet X Change, are all supposed to perform on the Main Stage. Many of them are also slated for next year's Drag Con L.A. in May, which will mark the 10th iteration of the event. But the unexpected name to hit the U.K? Sophie Anderson of the Cock Destroyers.

Anderson has undoubtedly become a queer icon with her Partner-in-Destroying Rebecca More. The two went viral for their cock destorying videos uploaded to Twitter, and then leaned into the fact that the gays were in full support: in October they starred in a gay porn. In addition, More teamed up with Matthew Camp to buy and run the queer brand Daddy Couture and now Anderson is headed to DragCon, we love to see it.
