To celebrate Murray & Peter Present's A Drag Queen Christmas reaching its 10-year anniversary, Out caught up with some of the queens featured in this dazzling cast!
Out: What's it like to have gone on this tour for several years and now celebrate its 10-year anniversary?
Brooke Lynn Hytes: It's a blessing! It's so much fun to actually get to work with other queens and have that family feeling. It feels so amazing getting to celebrate 10 incredible years with everyone. Thank you, Murray and Peter, for all the opportunities!
Favorite tour moment of all time?
My favorite tour moment is anything where I got to kiki with Alyssa Edwards. She's my favorite!
What are your wishes for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season?
That everyone has a safe and happy place to celebrate at the holidays, and that everyone gets out to VOTE!
What's your biggest wish going into 2025?
To keep being booked and blessed.
Out: What's it like to have gone on this tour for several years and now celebrate its 10-year anniversary?
Nina West: The Drag Queen Christmas tour is maybe the best out there. We have built a bit of a holiday family around the show with a core group of queens who have the chance to do it every year. This is my fourth year taking part in the fun and hosting, and it is such a unique and fun way to spend the holiday season. It is really amazing to see this show become such a strong tradition for families and families of friends every single year.
Favorite tour moment of all time?
Honestly, I think what I love most about this tour is seeing how everyone around the country celebrates the season. I love walking off the tour bus in the morning and exploring the city we are in, like experiencing their holiday markets or their different celebrations… especially as we get deeper into the season. It's magic, and it really makes the tour that much more fun.
What are your wishes for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season?
My wish is that our LGBTQ+ community can all fall in love with Wicked. And, of course, spend this holiday season being better to one another and celebrating our community.
What's your biggest wish going into 2025?
I hope 2025 brings peace, joy, and stronger efforts to combat climate change.
Out: What's it like to have gone on this tour for several years and now celebrate its 10-year anniversary?
Jimbo: Murray & Peter Present's A Drag Queen Christmas tours feature the best in drag and provide high-quality LGBTQ+ entertainment for all, coast to coast. It's a dream to celebrate 10 years of [this Christmas tour] with an incredible cast and an epic 10th-anniversary show.
Favorite tour moment of all time?
My favorite tour moment of all time was touring my solo show Jimbo's Drag Circus all around North America. Sold-out audiences and world-class production… it was a dream!
What are your wishes for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season?
My biggest wish for the LGBTQ+ community this Christmas is for there to be more love, safety, and acceptance for our trans community.
What's your biggest wish going into 2025?
My biggest wish going into 2025 is for LGBTQ+ people around the world to be free to express themselves, love who they want to love, and be who they want to be without fear of persecution or judgment. I'm so grateful to get to be my silly, sexy, crazy, gay, wild, and free self… I wish it for everyone!
Out: What's it like to have gone on this tour for several years and now celebrate its 10-year anniversary?
Crystal Methyd: Because my season aired during the pandemic, my first Christmas tour was the first time I had the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time with any of my Drag Race sisters. Through the years, my sisters have helped me navigate my career and are an endless source of inspiration. I feel so lucky to have made so many long-lasting relationships through these tours. It's so exciting to be part of the 10-year anniversary tour, and my fourth Christmas tour. May the tour continue for a thousand years!
Favorite tour moment of all time?
My favorite moment from the Murray and Peter tour was seeing Jimbo wearing only her latex body suit, vogue-battling with Aja. Aja forcibly pushed Jimbo by the tits so hard she landed on her back. I had tears in my eyes, I was laughing so hard. We really need a camera crew following us around backstage.
What are your wishes for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season?
My biggest wish for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season is for everyone to feel love, acceptance, and safety. Especially to all my queer siblings in red states. Remember to celebrate your uniqueness and to surround yourself with joy and kindness.
What's your biggest wish going into 2025?
My biggest wish for 2025 is to be voted People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" and to reprise my role as Bella Da Boys in the sequel to the cult classic Slay (now streaming on Tubi!).
Out: What's it like to have gone on this tour for several years and now celebrate its 10-year anniversary?
Roxxxy Andrews: I love the holidays! Going on this tour is so much fun… to be able to be with the other Drag Race contestants and travel, spreading cheer to all the fans of not only RuPaul's Drag Race but of this specific tour produced by Murray and Peter. I'm so thankful to be able to be on this tour celebrating the holidays and the anniversary.
Favorite tour moment of all time?
Honestly, the tour bus and backstage shenanigans, but also seeing the beautiful theatres around the country. I'm into design, so I love seeing the old, the new, and in-between architecture.
What are your wishes for the LGBTQ+ community this holiday season?
For everyone to realize the blessings that they already have. We always want so much; we tend to forget the beautiful things we already have.
What's your biggest wish going into 2025?
My biggest wish is to have and continue the success I've been able to maintain for the 20 years I've been doing this.
