RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 was a commemorative season for the franchise, not only for the series’ 15-year anniversary, but also due to its grand move to a network like MTV.

At the recently-aired season 15 reunion special, Princess Poppy decided to make one more reference that had longtime Drag Race fans gagging: a recreation of Rebecca Glasscock’s entrance look during the very first season of the show. Eventually, the news reached Glasscock herself, who wrote in an Instagram post:

“Yooooo! Everybody was blowing up my phone and sending me pics! I thought it was hilarious! This b*tch did her homework. For a minute I saw that pic from the panel and said, ‘When did I film that? Oh sh*t! That’s not me!’ [Princess Poppy], hats off to ya babe! You had me down to the pumps and the necklace! You fuggin’ turned it! You had me LMFAO! Beautifully executed. Bravo.”

With Poppy’s announcement at the reunion that she was (at least temporarily) quitting drag following her stint on Drag Race, this recreation of Glasscock’s entrance look was an even more layered reference point. After all, Glasscock has famously retired from drag since appearing in season one, and now simply goes by his real name, Javier Rivera.

All things considered, it’s a gag that Poppy chose to make this reference at the reunion after announcing her drag retirement, and it’s just as wonderful that Glasscock saw what Poppy did and really appreciated the moment.

We stan an OG queen giving props to a newer alum. Talk about a wholesome moment for Drag Race fans!

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 airs Fridays on MTV.
