Some tea has been spilled — officially!
Since the airing of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3, fans have speculated about a potential "feud" between top-two finalists Trixie Mattel and Kennedy Davenport. However, neither of them made it clear over the years if there was any truth to the matter.
This week, season 15 finalist Mistress Isabelle Brooks shared a new YouTube video that featured Kennedy as a special guest. Mistress (as the agent of chaos she's known to be) decided to paint a Trixie mug on Kennedy, which prompted the Dancing Diva of Texas to talk about her fellow All Stars 3 costar.
"I was the one with the beef," Kennedy explained. "My heart was broken. When I befriend somebody, I really take that to heart. I just felt, in the instances of filming [All Stars 3], not one time did she tell me she was reading me every chance she got. I really thought that we had created a bond that we weren't able to create during season 7."
Kennedy continued:
"Even after the filming, we talked every day. So I was like, 'All those times we been talking, and bonding, and sh*t… you could've told me you was [going to] read me all the way to the end.' So I was mad."
According to Kennedy, the entire cast of All Stars 3 was booked for the same gig together following the All Stars 3 finale. "I told her to stay away from me [because] I was going to fight her," she added. When Mistress asked if Kennedy felt confident that she would "whoop" Trixie, Kennedy had a simple reply.
"You already know," she said.
Kennedy then admitted that she did hold onto feelings about Trixie for a long time, despite not being something that she enjoys doing. "Last year, I called her, [and] we hashed it out," Kennedy recalled. "We went back the way we were."
Last but certainly not least, Mistress asked if Kennedy thinks that she beat Trixie in the lip sync for the crown, which was answered with a straight-up "yeah." And yet, Kennedy followed that up with another statement:
"But I love her. I'm happy for her. I was never bitter that she won. It hasn't stopped nothing here. I lift her up and I praised her and [I'm] happy for her. [She had] her moments, but I let it go."
