At this point, the dolls are the dolls, indeed!

Vietnamese queen Plastique Tiara is now the second RuPaul's Drag Race queen in herstory to reach over 4 million followers on Instagram. When it comes to RuGirls, the All Stars 9 star and internet sensation is only behind Trixie Mattel in IG followers — and can potentially outpace the All Stars 3 winner in the next few months.

Trixie, who was honored on the 2024 Out100 as a business mogul, became the first Drag Race alum of all time to cross 4 million followers in August 2024. At the time, Trixie was still in the middle of her months-long hiatus.

Plastique spent years building up her following on TikTok and Instagram since first competing on Drag Race season 11. Over time, the Vietnamese queen became the undisputed Queen of TikTok — while also slowly transferring her massive TikTok following onto Instagram.

In February 2025, Plastique crossed the threshold of 3 million Instagram followers. Two months later — as of April 2025 — the breakout star of All Stars 9 added another million followers to her overall IG reach and crossed the 4-million mark.

As of this writing, Trixie's live Instagram reach is at 4.18 million fans, and Plastique's IG audience is at 4.03 million followers.

Given how quickly Plastique has grown her social media reach and how much content she's able to post on a daily basis, the All Stars 9 star has the legitimate potential to surpass Trixie's IG following in the next few months.

On the other hand, Trixie continues to tour the world, host several podcasts and web series, grow the very successful Trixie Cosmetics brand, and also has an impressive output of content across various platforms.

The Drag Race queendom keeps challenging conservative rhetorics, anti-drag bills, the cruel mistreatment of immigrants, a flood of transphobic policies, and the dangerous erasure of LGBTQ+ history — with drag artists proving once again that their visibility and fabulousness can defy prejudice and reach even more people than ever before.

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is available for streaming on Paramount+.
