On the latest episode of the official RuPaul's Drag Race recap series The Pit Stop, iconic queen and All Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel opened up about a "horrible" interviewer she recently dealt with.
Fellow queen Thorgy Thor posed the question to Mattel: "Can you recall horrible interviewers that you've been interviewed by?"
"I recently got interviewed by a guy, who was like: 'You know, your gigs, when you’re out there lip-syncing in bars,' and I said, 'Yeah, the theatres I sell out have bars,'" Mattel recalled.
"I was like, 'You really don't know anything… you don't know what the f*** you’re talking about, b***h.'"
Thorgy added, "Just Google me," and Trixie replied, "No kidding. If you've avoided me on YouTube this long, it's been a choice."
Though she did not name names on The Pit Stop, because the internet is so quick to find these things out, fans quickly surmised that the moment Mattel was referencing happened fairly recently during a May interview with podcast host Zach Sang.
During one moment in the interview, Sang speaks about charisma with Mattel.
"Just to wait tables, for instance, takes so much personality, so much charisma, so much one on one energy," he said. "Which, by the way, that's exactly what you're doing to a certain degree when you're up there performing to a bar full of people."
Mattel, looking visibly annoyed, replied, "Yeah, the theatres I work in do have bars. They do."
As of this writing, Mattel and Sang haven't mentioned the interaction on social media.
