Filmed in only eight days on a miniscule budget, That's Not Us explores modern relationships through the perspective of three couples--one gay, one lesbian, one straight--headed to Fire Island for a weekend getaway.
As with many relationship-centric films, all three couples grapple with the frustrations and disappointments that come with loving another. The film premiered in 2015 at InsideOut, Toronto's LGBT film festival, and was screened at other major film festivals including Outfest Los Angeles, Frameline San Francisco, and Wicked Queer: The Boston LGBT Film Festival.
In November 2015, Strand Releasing acquired the film's distribution rights. That's Not Us will be available on DVD, VOD, iTunes, and Amazon on April 19.
