This Student Used 'Grey’s Anatomy' for a Yearbook Message About Being “So, So, So Gay”

Just wait until you see what she had to say.

Krysta Montoya, a senior at Valley High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, made a big statement (with the help of Shonda Rhimes and Grey's Anatomy) in her senior quote for the yearbook, according to HuffPo.

"Grey's Anatomy Season 5, Episode 6, 39:40," the quote said.

Given that most didn't understand what she was talking about, she turned to Twitter to clear it all up.

Montoya was referring to the scene in season 5 where the character Erica Hahn says, "I am so, so, so gay."

The school administration "would not let me post that," she told HuffPo, so she wrote her message secretly instead.

The student said she's been out since her freshmen year, but because she didn't date in middle school, and only experienced her first kiss in high school after dating another girl, people thought she was "going through a phase."

"I feel like people were like, 'How would you know if you're gay if you haven't even tried dating a boy?'" Those kinds of questions caused a lot of pain, she said.

So she proved everyone wrong and set the records straight once and for all. Way to go.
