First the firsts fly, then the words. Over the weekend Nicki Minaj and Cardi B made headlines after Cardi allegedly physically attacked Minaj at a New York Fashion Week event - an extreme rarity for that type of setting. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper later defended her actions in an Instagram call-out post claiming Minaj had made remarks about her daughter and parenting.

Today Minaj took to her Queen radio show to give her perspective of the events and spill some tea. "The other night I was part of something so mortifying and so humiliating to go through in front of a bunch of upper echelon... people who have their life together. The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion. I was mortified," she said. "I was in an Alexandre Vauthier gown - off the motherfucking runway - and I could not believe how humiliating it all felt because [of how] we - and I'm going to use 'we' loosely - made ourselves look was mortifying." Minaj cited "legal reasons" for not spilling more details on the altercation, which means action may be taken.
Minaj then addressed Cardi B's Instagram post, saying she never insulted the other rapper's daughter. "I just want people to know that Onika Tanya Maraj has never, will never speak ill of anyone's child. I am not a clown. That's clown shit." But Minaj noted that Cardi herself has said that nothing is off limits when it comes to beef, even playing a recording of the rapper as proof. "But did we hear this woman say that nothing's off limits," Minaj said, "because she has built her career off of sympathy and payola."
As the conversation intensified, Minaj called Cardi a "disgusting pig" flat out and said she should be more focused on her child than fighting. "Let's get up a 1-800 number on postpartum depression," Minaj said in a dig. "You just had the biggest blessing of your life with a child, and in two weeks, you have attacked three women. One at Fashion Week. And left looking the way you left looking so that people could point their fingers at our culture and our community and laugh at us some more?" Then, screaming, Minaj said: "Do you know what the fuck it is to sit in your fucking room for days and hours at a time writing raps?! You came into my fucking culture! I never had to fuck a DJ to play my songs!"
And that's that on that.
