Diva Worship: Author Michael Montlack Fêtes His Book 'Divining Divas' This Weekend in NYC

Every gay man has a woman--or a smattering of them, for that matter--that have served as an inspiration to him--a feminine creature different from any other. While many may find these women in a conveniently close-knit mortal kin--in the form of a friend with whom a real-life relationship can be formed, built, and nurtured--yet there is a league of deities that exist on a different scale whose affect is profoundly different. They come to as singers, songwriters, dancers, artists, and writers that--while we may never meet in the flesh--cast a magnetic spell over us and inform our lives in a unique way. They comfort us when we're low, celebrate us when we're triumphant. They put words to the feelings we find ourselves unable to articulate. Author Michael Montlack has gathered 100 gay men, and asked them to each write a love letter--in the form of a poem--to the woman who serves as his muse.

This weekend Montlack is inviting friends and lovers of these magical women to join him in the release of his book Divining Divas. Next Saturday, April 28th starting at 9pm at elmo, join Montlack in the celebration of this tome dedicated to divas and the men that love them.
