The Leslie-Lohman Museum hosts an exhibit of photographs of a young, queer generation
Alexis Handwerker is the founder of The Hear Me Roar Project, Coalition for Queer Youth, and has curated TESTIMONY online and am also a featured blogger on The Sundance
Channel. Now Alexis has brought many of the photographs that document a young generation to the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in Testimony: A Living Exhibition of Queer Youth, which feature images by photographers Amos Mac, Brian Shumway, Gerard Gaskin, Michael Sharkey, Molly Steadman, Samantha Box, Valerie Shaff, We Are the Youth, and youth organizations Bklyn Boihood, Hetrick-Martin-Institute, OCASI, as well as performances of written work through July 28. Tomorrow night, July 25, "An Evening of Testimony" reading/book-signing event with authors/LGBT youth advocates Kate Bornstein & Emanuel Xavier.
