I'll always have a special place in my heart for Meryl Streep, that goes without saying. But because Ms. Streep is my queen doesn't mean I can't appreciate other goddesses of the acting pantheon. Take for example Julianne Moore. Not only is the scarlet-haired actress a vociferous supporter of gay rights (earning her a place in 2010's Out100) but she's also one of cinema's most respected actresses (plus she rubbed elbows with Meryl in The Hours). And while my favorite Moore role to date would have to be as eccentric artist Maude Lebowski in the Coen brothers' 1998 hit The Big Lebowski, she's mostly known for her more dramatic portrayals (not gonna lie, I'm also obsessed with her pharmacy meltdown in Magnolia). It looks like I'm not the only Moore obsessive, seeing as yesterday a friend introduced me to this video, below, of Julianne's illustrious career as a masterful film crier. Even though Julianne is sad, this lil' video makes me oh-so-happy. How has this woman not won an Oscar yet?
