Winning America's love over a decade ago and five studios albums later, Kelly Clarkson is releasing her first catalog album with Greatest Hits - Chapter One next week (November 19). It will feature early fan favorites such as "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Miss Independent," and of course the iconic, inaugural hit, "A Moment Like This". From last year's Stronger, "Mr. Know It All" and the empowering title song "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" have also made the cut for this collection that highlights Clarkson's vocal range and styles, as noted by a couple country songs and a Christmas title included. A perfect album for any fan, especially those who have enjoyed listening and singling along since American Idol.
Three new singles will also be included. The first new song is the well-received "Catch My Breath," which represents Clarkson's past accomplishments and where she is headed in the future. The video for the uptempo song was released earlier this week, and combines color and elements such as water, wind, and fire to create a simple, yet powerful imagery (creating a even stronger dynamic with the vocals). Also check out her examples of "hairography"--most likely unintentional--but her hair does shimmer and moves wonderfully with the wind.
The two other new songs are the fast-paced and possible future club hit "People Like Us" (an empowering song about joining together a community of all sorts of people), and Clarkson's second venture into country music, the smooth and soft "Don't Rush" featuring musican Vince Gill.
