The year started off rough for Britney Spears. First, she split from her fiance/manager Jason Trawick due to differences on future family plans--apparently she wanted more children and he didn't--but the two are said to have decided to remain friends. At least that was the statement released on day one of the news. Gossip emerged that it was Jason who "dumped" Britney due to stress over her mental health and having so much control on her life that he didn't want.

On top of the ending her engagement and parting ways with Jason, who has officially resigned as her co-conservator, Britney also annouced that she is not returning to The X Factor next season. Britney said in a statement: "Watching [the contestants] all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most." Other reports came in that she "quit" before she potentially would not be invited back on the show.

Over the years, Britney has shown that despite what troubles maybe lurking about, she comes back and surprises us with something fun. After all, she's 'Britney, bitch.'

Following the success of her recent single with Will.i.am, "Scream and Shout" is the No. 1 on Billboard's new Dance/Electronic Song Chart, Britney is working on her eighth studio album. Perez Hilton shared that music producer Jeff Dandurand stated that the upcoming album will be released in Fall 2013. Britney will continue to work with Will on the untitled album, and Hit-Boy, whom has produced with Kanye West and Jay-Z.

A close friend of Britney told UK's MailOnline that she is dancing five days a week and is in the studio working on the new album.

MailOnline reports that the Femme Fatale diva is about to sign a $100 million deal with one of the Caesars group properties and establish a residency in Las Vegas. However today, TMZ says that it is not only Caesars that wants her, there is a total of three Sin City properties "bidding" on her and one is not of the Caesars brand.

If Britney does decide to sign a deal in Vegas, she will join the list of other divas who have in the past such as Cher, Bette Midler, and current Vegas headliners Celine Dion and Shania Twain. Looks like she'll be ready to "Hit me, baby, one more time."
