You read that right; you can listen to Prism in its entirety online, before it officially drops on Tuesday. Though only time will tell if it'll be as much as an utter smash as her sophomore album Teenage Dream, which spawned five No. 1 hits, with songs like "Roar," "Walking On Air," and "Birthday," things bode well, mostly because the album sounds great.
Though it certainly is built on a solid pop foundation, Perry's added far less sugar to the confection. Replete with emotional ballads like "By The Grace Of God" and "Unconditionally," Prism isn't the super-sweet over the top pop album that Teenage Dream is, and that's by design. "I didn't want to do Teenage Dream 2.0," she told Billboard last month. "Teenage Dream was highly conceptual, super-pop art. "PRISM" is more organic, au naturale, vulnerable and honest, but still has the same amount of fun."
Listen to the album on Idolator and you can pre-order on iTunes.
Prism drops October 22 on Capitol Records.
