Le1f, the man behind the viral sensation, "Wut," has just dropped "Boom," the first single off his upcoming 5-song EP, Hey, and the track is glorious. He layers rapid-fire rhymes over a bumping dance beat and the results are exquisite. Pure excellence.
But that's not the only news for the Out100 honoree: Le1f has also signed a multiple-album agreement with Terrible Records, which is in a joint venture deal with XL Recordings. If you've heard of XL that's probably because you like Adele, Vampire Weekend, The xx, or any of the other artists on their stellar roster.
Terrible/XL will release Hey on March 11. "I've dreamed of recording for XL since I was like 15 and I'm super excited to be working with all of my Terrible labelmates," said the queer rapper to Billboard. Check out "Boom" below:
