Kill Hannah frontman Mat Devine is making huge waves in the music scene with his first solo album, Gold Blooded, under the alias "Wrongchilde." Fresh off the album is his first collaboration with Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and Alain Whyte (the main guitar player and songwriter for Morrissey), "Falling In Love Will Kill You," a guy-on-guy duet featuring Devine and Way as vocalists and Whyte as guitarist/songwriter.
While the song was originally meant as a heterosexual duet, Devine decided otherwise and aspired to ignite change by challenging social constructs of duet performances and creating a more inclusive space in music for the LGBT community. "By choosing to release Falling in Love Will Kill You as a guy-on-guy duet, I'm hoping we can ignore the expectations of the music industry and make it accessible to everyone," he explains. "And to me, that's what makes it a modern love song."
The song, "Falling In Love Will Kill You," is available to download at exclusively through Out.com.
