Strip away the meat dresses, the flying art pieces, the Koontzes, and all the other bells and whistles and you'll find that Lady Gaga -- sans the theatrics -- is still a commensurate vocalist with an amazing set of pipes.
Case in point: she and Tony Bennett have released their cover of the Cole Porter classic, "Anything Goes." The recording is the first cut off their upcoming album of jazz standards, Cheek to Cheek, and it's good. Both singers bring the energy and levity that you'd expect to hear on a broadway cast recording and their harmonies are spot-on.
If this duet is any indication, Cheek to Cheek will certainly be worth a listen. "Anything Goes" is out now on iTunes.
Cheek to Cheek is out Sept. 23.
