The experimental R&B sensation shares her favorite track off her debut LP
With her soaring vocals and trip-hop beats, FKA Twigs has become an industry darling. The Hot List honoree has been sharing stellar tracks off her upcoming debut album, LP1, all summer long and her latest, "Pendulum" is yet another prime cut. She's even called the tune, "one of my favourite songs on my record."
"Pendulum" begins on the minimalist side, making economical use of synthy flourishes and relying on Twig's airy vocals to drive the song and a faraway rapping percussion to provide atmosphere. Staring slowly, the song ends on a robust, expansive, and incredibly satisfying crescendo.
"Pendulum" is out now and you can preorder LP1, which comes out August 12 on Young Turks.
