The "It Bag" has been on the lips of every woman since Sex and the City first hit the airwaves and validated every woman's obsession with shoes and bags. Now, men--especially gay men--are catching on to the "It Bag" idea, tossing aside their usual black leather or canvas messenger bags and reaching for totes, weekenders and briefcases with a little more eye-catching style--in bold hues, large patterns, exotic skins, super soft leathers, shiny patents and metallic fabrics--while still maintaining an overall masculine look--okay, so it's not as masculine as your gym bag.
Men are finally breaking the mold and embracing accessories that make a statement. This spring is all about statement pieces including bags, scarves, jewelry and shoes. While monochromatic color palettes and minimalism are back in a big way, add a dash of eye-popping color, or an indulgent snakeskin bag for a little drama that will immediately up your style quotient.

Snakeskin used to be taboo for men, evoking images of Las Vegas lounge lizards in pimped out suits and pointy snakeskin shoes, but the exotic skin that has been a longstanding favorite in womenswear, has been redeemed.
