Season's Greetings: Fall's best footwear

Photo: KP McNeil

Now that you've got your heads, tops and bottoms all ready for that summer-to-fall flip-flopping weather, let's not forget your feet.

SHOES > Heavier weather calls for heavier soles, so adapt your footwear accordingly. It's not like we gay men ever need a reason or a season to break out our most fabulous boots, but by the time fall rolls around, they should definitely be ready to make their debut. Beyond the boot, a classic cap-toe lace-up is as transitional a shoe as they come, with a dark brown being your go-to shade. We love the K.P. McNeil pictured here because it's a nice marriage of the two -- boot and cap toe -- and will work with multiple outfits. For tennis shoes, every label from Yves Saint Laurent to Converse has their own version of a canvas sneaker, and they're as stylish as they are durable. But if you want something a bit flashier -- and we know you do -- go for colored suede.
