Be Gay Little Gabe

Former Out.com Editor and fearless Popnography leader Shana Naomi Krochmal is now busy making musical web magic happen at Current TV, but it seems not too busy to launch a new website with pal Rae Votta (who often writes about the gay ins and not-so-outs of emo bands and their hot band members for yours truly) called Be Gay Little Bird.

Devoted to "all those times you look at someone and just want to say, 'it's okay -- just be gay, little bird,'" they "bring you a blog celebrating the obviously queer and questionably candid, no matter who it is they actually bed." Like, say, Popnog (and personal) favorite Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta.

According to BGLB, Mr. Saporta was "recently spotted on the dance floor at New York bar Angels & Kings [owned by buddy Pete Wentz]. Gabe and a way glam boy-toy in a sequined hoodie were seen getting down and dirty to Blur."

Shana and Gabe made a deal last summer that he'd let her know anytime he out-gayed himself, and everytime he did, she'd post about it. Shana remarked "he's a little busy right now, apparently [to alert her to this latetst act of gayness], but I'd say this qualifies as an earnest effort." We agree, and we're just as dedicated to chronicling his adventures, with Shana's, Rae's, and Gabe's help, from here on out.
