Vanessa Carlton Comes Out of the Bi Closet

At a Pride rally in Nashville, Tenn., June 19, Vanessa Carlton announced she was happily bisexual. This is the first time the singer publicly announced her sexuality, saying, "I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman."

Carlton is most notable for walking those thousands of miles and crooning over teenage angst and white houses, with her last album, Heroes & Thieves, released in 2007.
