Show Up and Drink Tomorrow Night for LGBT Youth!

Hey NYCers (and those connected to NYC by bridges and tunnels), of course you've heard of the Ali Forney Center, right? It's the nonprofit that gives housing and many other kinds of amazing support to homeless LGBT youth, many of whom have been kicked or pressured out of their homes by their families. Yes, yes, it's true, not supporting Ali Forney is the gay equivalent of kicking a helpless, sad-eyed puppy into the anthrax-plagued gutter, then going mwahahahaha! like a dime-store villain as you walk away, your black cape and fog swirling about you.

All the more reason why, if you're in or near New York City tomorrow night, you should go to Ali Forney's "Oasis" benefit at the beautiful, glamorous Hudson Terrace. For a mere $50 (less than the cost of a sad-eyed puppy!), from 6:30-9:30pm, you can hang out with gay glitterbugs like TV stylista Robert Verdi, unsinkable East Village drag icon Linda Simpson and...yes!...the adorable Jujubee (whose real first name is Airline!!! and is pictured to the left) from Logo TV's brilliant RuPaul's Drag Race. Also on hand will be known, active homosexuals including Jonathan Groff, Eduardo Xol, Lea Delaria, Heather Matarazzo, Caroline Murphy, John Cameron Mitchell and Nick Adams. Unlike Tina Turner, homeless LGBT New York kids do need another hero...you! If, that is, you can rise above your petty needs and divert a mere $50 away from what you've been spending on those disgusting little banana hammocks you like so much.
