On my recent visit to the newly reopened Ralph Lauren store, which houses all the company's men's lines, I half expected to see Frank Muytjens, Jack Spade, Michael Bastian and the like lined up on prayer mats outside, basking in the refracted propriety of it all, taking inspiration for 2012 collections.
